PRESIDENT
Phil Kellogg
In addition to actively participating in the overall management of the company, Phil has the specific responsibility for the pre-construction functions of Kellogg & Kimsey. Phil and the Estimating Staff are heavily involved during pre-construction activities with clients and their design teams to bring exceptional value to their projects. He provides leadership in assessing market conditions for material and labor to keep the company in a very competitive pricing situation and uses the necessary resources, both field and office efficiently utilized for all budgets, estimates, value engineering sessions, constructability and coordination reviews, bids, schedule development, contract development and negotiation, project buyout assistance, early procurement assistance, permitting, and planning requirements to ensure a seamless transition into the construction phase. Phil diligently inspects and approves every pricing exercise before issuance. Phil graduated from the University of Florida. He is a Founder and the President of Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
David Pfeil
David is responsible for the management of operations for Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. as well as actively participating in the overall management of the company. David was previously a Senior Project Manager and has been instrumental in the company’s growth since joining the company in 1989. He has been a shareholder since 2000. The Project Managers, Superintendents and their assistants work with David to meet our clients’ goals for their projects. David is a LEED Accredited Professional and oversees the project team efforts for project LEED certification during construction. After graduating from the University of Florida in Building Construction, he was a Construction Manager for a national contractor before joining Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc.
VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Brent Bobo
Brent is responsible for developing new client relationships and business partner alliances, as well as maintaining existing ones. He is also actively involved in the coordination of negotiated projects during pre-construction. Before joining Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc., he performed this role with a regional design-build firm in South Carolina. He was also previously employed by Florida Power & Light as a field engineer, managed the Commercial/Industrial Energy Analysis Program company-wide and completed his tenure as Sales Manager for the Southwest Coast of Florida. Brent graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and holds an M.B.A. from the Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship from Nova Southeastern University.
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Ed Doughty
Ed is responsible for the management of the financial operations of Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. Ed and his staff are commended regularly for their accurate and efficient processing of all requests, both for external clients and vendors, as well Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. employees. He was previously Controller for a worldwide insurance management company and Audit Manager for regional accounting firm. Ed, who became a CPA in 1990, holds an Accounting degree from Dowling College in Oakdale, NY.
PROJECT EXECUTIVE
David Reed
David began his career with Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. in 1998 as a Project Manager and filled this role for eleven years before being promoted to a Senior Project Manager. He has continued to build the company’s stellar reputation in hospitality, retail and commercial projects through developing strong repeat client relationships. His knowledge in project management is shown in his detailed scheduling and organization of every detail on his projects. In 2015, David was promoted to Project Executive and now oversees the Project Managers and Superintendents on select projects. David works alongside our Vice-President of Operations and shares the responsibility for the management of the field operations of Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc.
PROJECT EXECUTIVE
Alden Jones
Alden is an integral member of the Kellogg & Kimsey team, having been involved in various aspects of the company’s hospitality portfolio since 2017. He has successfully led construction teams in and out of Florida on numerous projects, including those for well-known, international brands like Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG. Alden’s leadership skills were showcased when he led the team responsible for the construction of Hyatt’s 2023 Select Service Property of the Year. Alden also plays a crucial role in our pre-construction department, working closely with Phil Kellogg to provide real-time project feedback to estimators and serving as a liaison between our clients and our team. Alden also leads the firm’s recruiting department, where he has demonstrated his ability to develop and mentor top talent while setting clear expectations for new hires. After graduating from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Construction Management, Alden worked for a national general contractor’s healthcare division. He holds a Certified General Contractor’s license and proudly serves as President-Elect of the Sarasota County Gator Club, providing volunteer services and fundraising efforts for his community.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Melanie Lehmann
Melanie, who joined Kellogg & Kimsey in 1990, is responsible for the management of Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc.’s Safety and Health Program. She also coordinates the pre-construction activities required for Kellogg & Kimsey to properly permit a project so construction can begin. Melanie has excellent rapport with all city and county staffs for local projects. She has coordinated the permitting for company projects in 36 U.S. states. She attended Manatee Community College and University of South Florida, and has completed Certificates in General and Construction Industry Safety from Georgia Tech.
