Kellogg & Kimsey delivered the ground-up construction and sitework for this six-story, 152-key Courtyard by Marriott in Titusville, the closest hotel to Cape Canaveral and a prime vantage point for watching launches from the nearby Kennedy Space Center. Built with block-and-plank construction across 90,075 square feet, the hotel features a 4,350-square-foot rooftop observation deck for viewing launches across the Indian River, along with banquet space, a full kitchen, and an outdoor pool. To accelerate the schedule and ensure consistent quality across all 152 rooms, the project used prefabricated SurePods bathroom pods: complete, fully finished bathrooms manufactured off-site and delivered to the site ready to set in place, a modular approach that compressed on-site labor and tightened quality control on one of the most repetitive and detail-critical components of a hotel build.
