Kellogg & Kimsey delivered the ground-up construction and sitework package for this 4-story, 209-key oceanfront hotel on 5.8 acres along the shores of Jekyll Island. A dual Marriott-brand property, it combines 120 Residence Inn suites for extended-stay guests with 89 Courtyard rooms for shorter trips, giving travelers two hospitality experiences under one roof. The resort centers on the largest pool on Jekyll Island, a heated, freshwater, oceanfront pool complete with a hot tub and children's splash pad, surrounded by fire pits, a bistro, a fitness center, an indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant, and 2,600 square feet of ocean-view meeting space. Setting a new environmental standard for the island, the hotel became the first on Jekyll to feature rooftop solar panels, paired with turtle-friendly exterior lighting that protects the beachfront's nesting sea turtles, an oceanfront resort built to tread lightly on the coast it overlooks.
