Kellogg & Kimsey delivered this ground-up, 7-story, 186-key Hampton Inn & Suites on Piedmont Road, just north of Peachtree Road in Atlanta's upscale Buckhead district. Rising 104,000 square feet over a one-level basement parking garage, the hotel was built on a constrained urban site using a hybrid structural system: post-tension concrete on the first two floors carries the podium, with cast-in-place concrete on metal decking forming the floors above and load-bearing metal studs framing the walls. The finished mid-rise brought a modernized Hilton staple to one of Atlanta's busiest commercial corridors.
