Kellogg & Kimsey delivered this 17-story, 163-key extended-stay hotel on one of the most constrained sites in our portfolio: just four-tenths of an acre in the heart of Charlotte's Uptown, immediately next door to what is now Spectrum Center. Originally built as Hotel Sierra Charlotte and rebranded as a Hyatt House when Hyatt absorbed the Hotel Sierra brand in 2012, the property has anchored this corner of Uptown through a brand transition and a decade-plus of Charlotte's growth. Building vertically to make the most of the footprint, the 175,993-square-foot tower integrates five levels of structured parking into its base and rises to an elevated seventh-floor pool deck, its exterior articulated in six different materials to break up the height. Inside, 22 distinct guest-room configurations, an outdoor swimming pool, flexible meeting space, and food and beverage service round out a hotel purpose-built for the extended-stay traveler, steps from the arena, the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and Uptown's restaurants and museums.
