Kellogg & Kimsey delivered the ground-up construction of San Marco Plaza, a 61,000-square-foot mixed-use development spanning four buildings and a campanile across seven acres at the corner of Town Center Parkway and Nature's Way in Lakewood Ranch. Inspired by St. Mark's Square in Venice, the plaza is anchored by a seven-story clock tower and woven together with intricate paving patterns, winding arcades, and open-air balconies rich with Venetian detail. The ground level was built for retail shops and restaurants, including a 250-seat cabaret dinner theater, with a second level of office condominiums above, all served by ample parking. The result is a European-inspired gathering place that has become a Lakewood Ranch destination, drawing visitors to its restaurants, boutiques, and year-round live entertainment, including a weekly Friday farmers market supporting local growers.
